2014 Resolutions.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve taken time to reflect and journal on my professional goals for this New Year – some of which I’d like to share here on my blog. I kept it simple. The simpler my resolutions the more realistic.
Invest. I want to ensure my Communicating Passion website and brand remains fresh and current throughout the year – this includes engaging on Twitter + LinkedIn in particular. Creating a blog schedule and sticking to it (current goal is to post two times a week).
Read. In order to be the best I can be when it comes to my profession, keeping up with industry trends and what’s happening in the marketplace is vital. My goal is to immerse myself in news and PR/marketing education four times a week for a minimum of 45 minutes. In a future post, I will highlight the publications/blogs/social outlets I subscribe to and am a part of to remain up-to-date.
Participate. Last quarter I stepped up my attendance at the Volunteer chapter of PRSA and I want to cotinue to network and be a part of that group. However, I am looking for other ways to connect with both young and seasoned professionals, such as the Knoxville Chamber and the Young Professionals of Knoxville. In that vein, on Jan. 22 I am attending the Chamber’s luncheon focused on “Telling Your Story Visually Using Social Media.” I am also planning to attend 3-4 PR/Marketing Summits/events in 2014.
Message me resolutions you have on your list.
Happy 2014! Let’s make it a good one.
